Woodstock Area Job Bank

There is a quote I am fond of by the late Winston Churchill:  “We live in a world of ifs.”  At first glance it doesn’t seem to be one of his more profound if you consider how many great speeches he gave in his long and illustrious career and yet….
If the Job Bank is going to adapt with the times we are going to have to meet the changing needs of our community.
If we discover our community has a need for more odd-job workers, we will need to
connect with a broader work force.
If we create a new program with a catchy, modern name like Bit Time, we can build a bridge between the needs of the community and available workers.
If we find a way to connect students to this idea, there will be plenty of local workers available to fill this need.
If we offer students the opportunity to design the logo for Bit Time, they will own it!
If —and here Mr. Churchill comes in handy again— we fail…. He says,  “Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”  We will find another way.  There are many talented young artists out there. We might need to find another way to reach them.
If in the meantime you need a worker, Bit Time is here, albeit without a logo.  We are starting to gather a list of workers.  They come from all walks of life.  They all share one thing in common.
If they get a call for your odd job, they will come.
If you call.
But  —Mr. Churchill again— “I myself am an Optimist.”  In a few weeks you will get your first glimpse at our student designed Bit Time logo. It is amazing!
So what was that job you needed done?
Until next week
