Billings Farm & Museum is seeking individuals to join the team as interpreters and educators. Applicants should enjoy working with the public, have a positive and professional team attitude and love learning and sharing about Vermont history and agriculture. Flexibility and excellent communication skills are needed; must like working with people of all backgrounds and ages. Part-time positions with flexible hours available April through October, with some winter hours. Orientation and training begins late March/early April. The position described above may include the following specialties depending on individual interest:
• Selling tickets, orienting visitors, and working in the gift shop
• Leading tours and guiding visitors through our 1890 Farm Manager’s Home
• Answering visitor questions and sharing information about our farm animals
• Working with visitors in our Heirloom and Education Gardens
• Demonstrating recipes and techniques in our historic and/or modern kitchens
• Facilitating educational programs and leading hands-on activities with children and adults
