Middle School Teacher Social Studies/Math

This position requires a candidate who feels comfortable and confident teaching 6-8 grade Integrated Studies, and middle school math. In addition he/she will closely collaborate with four other educators to construct thematic units involving language arts, social studies, and science for a multi-age 6-8 grade team of students. The right candidate will act as the “Social Studies expert” for this integrated model. He/she will facilitate reading groups, and assess student progress in the areas of reading and writing.

In addition to content, this candidate should be enthusiastic about empowering middle school learners to play an active role in their education and their school community. The ideal candidate would have a strong grasp of best practices for the middle level!

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
  • Bachelor degree preferred
