Office Admin Job Description:
The UCC Church of Hartland Vermont is currently seeking a part-time, 8 hours a week Administrative Assistant as a core team member. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, positive, friendly and flexible. This position offers flexible but consistent two 4 hour days per week and pays $18 an hour.
• Strong social media experience, able to maintain a website, manage Facebook and more;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
• Strong communication and active listening skills;
• Highly responsible and reliable;
• Previous work experience and desire to work for a church organization;
• Handle sensitive, confidential information and assignments with tact, discretion and diplomacy.
• Manage communications: Create and publish bulletins & newsletters with Mail Chimp, manage social media, Church website and calendar;
• Update address lists;
• Support use of facilities;
• Coordinate hours of contract employees;
• Work with volunteers;
• Return phone calls;
• Mail acknowledgment letters;
• Keep policies current in files;
• Manage building access;
• Order and receive supplies;
• Administrative support clerical functions, schedule appointments, answer phone calls, make copies, file, maintain spreadsheets and documentations and databases.
