Woodstock Area Job Bank

Last week was a tough one for a tech-savvy-wanna-be like me. We had some website woes that could not be easily fixed by yours truly. The complications were just beyond my grasp and I had to call in the pros. The great news is that we’re up and running again and I’ve got a better handle on the management of the website.

One interesting thing that I learned though this experience is that there are a lot of folks out there who are excited to jump in and help out. After I sent out my “Website Woes” email last Thursday, I heard from several of my Job Bank friends offering their advice and guidance. It was great to see. I don’t know if it was a “Vermont thing” or just a “people being decent” situation – either way I was most grateful for their offers of assistance. Thanks to all who connected with me last week.

The day was ultimately saved by an old Job Bank friend, Rob Fish. Rob first became a Job-Banker a few years ago when he was a representative of Vermont Digital Economy project. He was key in getting our office more streamlined and connecting us with website pros to redesign our website. He saved us then and he came back to do it again! Thanks Rob! If you’d like to connect with him about your website or other digital needs I encourage to do so. Here’s a link to learn more.

If I don’t see you first, please have a very happy holiday. Stay safe and warm! I’ll see you in the new year.

Keep up the good work,

Elizabeth Craib
